James Bardsley is the Chief Science Officer and Director of Operations for Anatomy Gifts Registry (AGR), a non-profit NADO that was founded in 1994. James has spent his entire life in the world of non-transplant tissue banking, having started hands-on practice via working within AGR while still in high school. James obtained his BS in Molecular & Cellular Biology from Towson University in 2010 and became a Certified Tissue Banking Specialist (CTBS) within the same year. He went on to obtain a degree in Mortuary Science and became a licensed mortician in the State of Maryland in 2013. James also happens to be a certified crematory operator. In the last 18 years, he has worked various positions within AGR, from a volunteer putting together registration packets for donors, to a recovery technician and crematory operator, to managing technical departments, and finally to his current position as an officer of the company. James got heavily involved in the AATB through the formation of the original ad hoc NADO committee in 2016 and was intimately involved with the NADO DRAI, NADO FAQs, and 2nd edition of NADO Standards as first major projects for the committee. James had since served on Membership and Standards committees for many years, and became Vice-Chair of the NADO Council for the 2020-2022 term, and then Chair for 2022-2024 and will be honored if given the opportunity to serve again as Chair for a second term for 2024-2026.

Statement Outlining Vision and Goals for the Council
"My vision and goals for this council during this term will be to grow the council, add more enthusiastic members to intra-council workgroups as well as ensure the highest participation as is possible with NADO representatives on board committees. Finally, I intend to keep accountability high through more consistent communication among council members and between the council and the AATB."
